Guess who's Back!!!!!!!

R. Kelly

R. Kelly has a new music video out, and you know what that means: Another super-catchy jam built around a ridiculous extended metaphor that somehow involves sex.

Actually, coming from the man who gave us such masterpieces as “Sex in the Kitchen,” “Sex Weed,” and “Sex Planet,” Kells’ new single — “Number One,” a duet with the lovely Keri Hilson — might qualify as subtle. “Having sex with you is like making hits,” he sings to Hilson, adding, “I’m in your mix like a No. 1 record.” Considering how much time R. Kelly probably spends each day thinking about either songwriting or lovemaking, I’m kind of surprised it’s taken him this long to arrive at a concept that unites his two favorite hobbies so neatly. And hey, at least he’s not comparing himself to a Jurassic “Sexasaurus” this time, right?

Watch the “Number One” video below, then let us know: What do you think? How does this measure up to R. Kelly’s most absurd tunes?

Beanie Sigel

Four albums, a clothing line, a record label, acting, beef, and time in jail. All this within 10 years of being married to a game that Beanie Sigel chose to wed. The rapper has been through it all but found his time spent in jail as the most eye-opening time of his career. It was that experience that allowed Beanie to finally rethink his career and how his role impacted the lives of those around him. Upon this realization, the Philly native is releasing his fourth album, The Solution. “This album right here I believe is my best body of work,” he proclaims. With songs featuring artists like Diddy, Jay-Z, Ghostface Killah, and R. Kelly, it’s hard to disagree. Rap-Up.com sat down to discuss Beans’ new project, the alleged “demanding behavior” of Kells, and his collaboration with past rival, Styles P.

How was your time away from music while you were in jail?
I found it relaxing. I mean, just the aspect of being away from the music. I’ve been Beanie Sigel since ’98 and I haven’t had the chance just to be regular. It was relaxing without the stresses and frustration being on the go all the time, in the studio or on the road.

You’ve been in this game almost 10 years. How did you picture yourself 10 years ago?
I couldn’t really picture myself being a rap artist. It was really when I had to go away for the thoughts to really impact me. I had to understand that I’m a rap artist and that this is a career and a job for me. When I had that pause for a minute, it was like, “Oh shit, I’m really a rapper. Let me get this right.”

Why did you decide to title this album The Solution?
After recording the album and the collection of songs that I put together, to me it was the solution for the consumers to be able to buy an album and get their money’s worth. To be able to listen to the full album from front to back without skipping songs. I think now that a lot of artists are dependent on that one single, that club banger and then their whole album is just repetitive.

Trash?
Yeah, just trash. I wasn’t going to be so harsh but since you put it that way, yeah.

On this album, you have a lot of features on it including the R. Kelly track, “All The Above.” How was it working with R. Kelly, being that a lot of artists that he has previously worked with say he has diva demands?
Actually, it was easy. I didn’t go through some of the things I heard he put people through. When I got the record, I sent it out to him and then I got the record back within four days. He sent it back with not only the hook but even a verse.

How was he at the video shoot? Was he like, “I need a bigger trailer than Beanie?”
No. I didn’t go through that either with what I heard he does on a video set. We were behind the schedule because the producers scheduled a two-hour gap thinking that R. Kelly was going to be late, but he was actually an hour and a half early.

How has the feedback been for the first single?
It’s all love. You’re only as good as who you go up against. Me, Jay, and Jadakiss just did the “Roc Boys” remix. It looks like it’s going to be the beginning of that street hard rap coming back.

Styles P is also on the album on “You Ain’t Ready For Me.” Now everyone knows that you guys had beef a few years back. How did it feel being on a track with him knowing that back in the day he was dissing you on a record?
Rap is like a competitive sport. That’s like two teams meeting on the ball court. That could be your man and ya’ll got love for each other off the court but on the court, ya’ll going at it. It was more of like a sport with us than it was personal beef. During the time we were doing the records, we would run into each other and it wasn’t no problem. It was all good.

I saw you in a video getting your Alicia Keys on, playing the piano. You also are very talented at drawing. Is there anything that you do that people wouldn’t expect?
I’m learning how to play the piano, the drums, and the guitar. I was always taught that you don’t have to know everything, just a little bit about everything. I just bought me a MP4000, so in the future I might be making beats. Produce my own albums.

Drake - Successful Feat Trey Songz (Behind the video)

A bunch of photos taken from the shooting location of Drake's music video for his single "Successful" off "So Far Gone" mixtape has been found. The snaps help fans figuring out what to expect from the upcoming video.

Trey Songz who lends his vocal to the track is set to share screen with Drake in this video. Fellow performer Jamie Foxx is also seen hitting the video's filming location in Toronto. Moreover, MTV's Sway visits the set as well, having a chat with the video's director Jake Davis and Trey.

In addition to the pictures, a behind-the-scene clip of the video has also come out. Unfortunately, there is no word on when Drake will bring the video out to his fans. According to Jake, the video is still in the works. "I am fully cognitive of the moment and will do everything in my power to make this THE VIDEO," he said.

Vick, Eagles agree to 2-year deal

Quarterback Michael Vick has signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, his agent, Joel Segal, confirmed to ESPN.com.

Vick King Of First Down
During the first years of his career (2004-06), Michael Vick rushed the ball better than any other quarterback. He had six 100-yard rushing games and 102 10-plus yard runs, but he was also one of the top rushers amongst all players -- especially on first down.

Player Team Yds/carry on 1st down
Michael Vick ATL 7.6
Frank Gore SF 5.3
Tiki Barber NYG 5.2
Mewelde Moore MIN 5.0
Joseph Addai IND 4.9

Vick arrived in Philadelphia Tuesday morning and remained there Wednesday evening. The Eagles will hold a news conference on Friday morning to announce his signing. The first year of the deal is for $1.6 million deal with an option for the second year at $5.2 million, FoxSports.com reports.

The Eagles went to the playoffs last season under quarterback Donovan McNabb, and are still looking for their elusive first Super Bowl win.

The team, though, is a surprise landing point for Vick. It was among 26 clubs that said there was no interest in Vick, but that may have changed when backup Kevin Kolb strained a knee ligament earlier this week. Kolb's injury isn't serious and he's expected to return next week. The Eagles also have veteran A.J. Feeley.

Vick was the No. 1 draft pick in 2001, and once the highest-paid player in football. But he has not played since 2006 when his career came tumbling down. He was convicted in August 2007 of conspiracy and running a dogfighting operation, sentenced to 23 months in federal prison and suspended indefinitely by the NFL. Click here for more.

Crips & Bloods: Made In America [Full Documentary]

Stacy Peralta has produced two of the best documentaries “Dogtown and Z-Boys” and “Riding Giants,” exhilarating, informative works with reverence for the cultures (skateboarding and surfing, respectively) they chronicle. With the sobering “Crips and Bloods: Made in America,” Peralta goes outside subjects of personal expertise, tackling the gang war that has long convulsed Los Angeles’ African American community. The documentary film does paint a the rather long history of this area of Los Angeles including immigration during Second World War, both riots and the civil rights struggles. The documentary is well shot with great music and narration by Forest Whitaker and a nice selection of both interview subjects and ideas. You very well may learn something and you cannot help feel for those that have senselessly suffered from the violence. With out much of a solution given, despite the enforced gang violence-prevention sequence, not much of an impression is left that anything will improve with the gang warfare. As one Crip makes the observation of, “It is what it is.” A bloody, chilling fact!?

Posted on Aug 5, 2009 by Natasha BABY DEBUT: First Pics Of Kenzo Lee Hounsou!

Kimora, her fiance Djimon, and her babies Aoki, Ming, and Kenzo Lee all posed for some family pics with OK!

*A collective “Awwwww”* Kimora tells OK!:

“He’s so hands-on,” Kimora gushes of hubby Djimon as a father. “He holds the baby, and he flicks the doodies. You wouldn’t think a guy would be so hands-on, so supportive, so strong yet gentle.”

Pure cuteness. It’s baby Kenzo’s first photoshoot and we love it. I spy Kimora’s lips on little Kenzo but I have a feeling he’s going to be a spitting image of his daddy when he gets older. The girls have indeed become their mommy’s mini me’s. Congrats to the family! Check out their full interview and all the pics here.

Keri Hilson - There's two sides to every story and the R&B siren knows both of them. Complex Magazine

Maybe Keri Hilson should have adopted a stage name before she became a pop star. It’s not that her birth name doesn’t befit an R&B diva (it’s better than, say, “Tweet”), it’s just that there’s a Jekyll-and-Hyde thing at work. The gorgeous 26-year-old nestled in the lounge in New York’s Hudson Hotel couldn’t possibly be the same chick on TV in tights and stilettos, trading verses and personal time with Lil Wayne and Kanye. The one right now is streetwear wifey supreme: a Canal Street T-shirt paired with jeans and Dunks. Hates getting her nails done, never kisses and tells. In-person Keri is just as appealing as video Keri…so why the dichotomy?
Because, simply put, she recognizes game. At 14, when most of her peers were playing dress-up in local talent shows, Ms. Hilson had a record deal (with the defunct girl group D’Signe). By the time she entered college, she had writing credits on major-label records, and would eventually—along with her songwriting crew, The Clutch—pen hits for Britney Spears (“Radar”), Ciara (“Like a Boy”), and Omarion (“Ice Box”). So yeah, with more than a decade in the game, not only does she know exactly what pop stars are supposed to look like, she knows exactly how they’re supposed to sound.
That’s why she enlisted mentors Polow Da Don and Timbaland for her debut album, In a Perfect World… It’s also why she blessed us with a glimpse of her perfect legs—she has no problem putting on for the camera, as long as it’s in a professional setting. (But there won’t be any private photos leaking. No shots!). And it’s why we sat down with her to ask the reason it’s still trickin’ if you got it, what she does at night, and why Kanye got to slap her ass on stage. With stunts like that, we don’t care what she calls herself.
How do you feel about your album and the way people are receiving it? It’s tough out here right now.

Nas & Damian Marley - Rock The Bells (Vancouver, Canada Performance)

"Performing together in this video, Nas and Damian Marley put on a crazy show performing some of their past songs together as well as two new tracks form the upcoming album "Distant Relatives."

Drake - Falls Onstage and Chris Brown pick-up the broken pieces.

Although Lil Wayne's "America's Most Wanted" tour took an unexpected hit when newly-signed Young Money member Drake re-injured his knee on stage [click to read], the show went on - this time with the help of Chris Brown.

The singer, who in February pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna, made an appearance at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia leg of the tour. Brown came on near the end of Lil Wayne's set, according to MTV News.

Brown, whose home state is Virginia, supplied vocals for Drake's song "Every Girl." The young performer also paid tribute to Michael Jackson with a rendition of "Billie Jean." Wayne prompted the crowd to make noise for "the new Michael."
"U kno I had to show him sum luv," is all Wayne said in an email response, commenting on his choise to bring Brown on stage with him.

It is not currently clear whether Brown will join Wayne on any other portions of the tour.

"What the f*&k? I'ma have to get some extra insurance for this nigga, man." - Lil Wayne.
